Hi! I am a licensed childcare provider in Galena, IL. I have been licensed for 3 years. I go through 15 hours of training per year, and am CPR/First Aid certified. I accept private and state pay, and accept full and part time clients at this time. I have 3 - 4 openings for children newborn on up to school age. AND I do before and after school care, though I do not transport. We do arts and crafts often, as well as many other fun activities including reading, building with blocks, coloring, playing with play-doh, singing, dancing, etc! Basically, we have fun! I try to follow the child's lead as to what interests them, and let them spend however much time they desire at said activity. I love letting them use their imagination for prolonged periods of time, and letting them develop story lines that you may not get if they are told to clean up after only 30 minutes. I encourage friendly interactions with the other kids. "Discipline" will always be gentle. Feel free to ask me more about the way our day runs!
