Hello!
My name is Julie. I have 13 years of experience working in professional childcare settings. For the past 7 years I have worked as a special education teacher. Working as a teacher has been a rewarding career, and I look forward to teaching in a daycare/preschool setting. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Northwestern -- St. Paul (formally, Northwestern College) in Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy. I then went on to work in a day treatment program. There I learned more about the special education world, and I decided that I wanted to become a special education teacher, where I could blend my experience with counseling with my desire to teach. I completed a licensure program and then received my Master's of Arts in Education from Augsburg College. I also graduated Summa Cum Laude and received scores of Excellence (top 15% of all test takers ever) on my teacher licensing tests. Before working as a teacher, I was a professional nanny for 6 years, a camp counselor for 3 summers, and a daycare teacher's assistant.

*I live in a large home with a huge playroom and great separate spaces for the children to sleep and play.
