Noah's Ark

We are a mother/daughter duo who have opened their home up to children ages newborn to 5 years of age. We offer a warm and old fashioned environment to make the children feel as comfortable and at home as possible. On rainy days the screened in back porch is used for stories and games, and inside the children are encouraged to explore their interests, curiosities, and creativity. If you have a curious and enthusiastic child, this is a welcoming place! We allow only a few children at a time to ensure proper safety, one on one attention, and a cozy environment are met.

If you desire any Pre-K lesson planning to be specialized to your child, we are happy to oblige. We are both very experienced with homeschooling curriculum from Pre-K and up. We believe each child develops and learns at their own pace and we want the children to feel at home and nurtured with their creativity and enthusiasm! Marcie Gray was in charge of creating and writing the natural science curriculum for local Montessori schools for the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History for several years and she puts this experience to use when it comes to fun and games about exploring nature and science.

While we encourage activities and playing at young ages, we realize sometimes a child just wants to be held. Running around and playing are fun and exciting, but children need to feel safe and cared for, as well. With 2 care providers for a small group, this ensures that your child will not go without that special comfort they sometimes need when their parents are away. The living room rocking chair has calmed many nerves for both children, and the anxious parent heading to work or school.

Wholesome meals are prepared daily and special dietary needs or lifestyles such as vegan or vegetarianism are welcome!

We will be issued our state licensing number at the end of November. We offer background checks per request. And we encourage you to ask for any details or references!
