Nia's Nursery

Nia's Nursery is still in the licensing process, but hoping to start providing care after the New Year! It will be an in-home day care in Algonac, MI and licensed for 6 children. There are stipulations to age combination within that 6, but currently our waitlist is completely open!

To summarize my skill set and experience, I spent 8 years working as a Certified Nurse Assistant, 5 years caring for disabled adults, am certified in first aide/CPR, and am the mom a of 2.5 year old little girl. I will also have completed all required licensing education/trainings.

My daughter is my motivation to opening my own day care. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 16 months old. Over the past 15 months, we have struggled immensely to find, teach, and keep child care providers. Leaving us struggling to work and struggling financially. So I've decided to take a different approach. I would like to solve my own struggles while also helping others with their own child care needs. So that's where Nia's Nursery comes in!

My hours of operation will be 6am to 8pm Monday through Friday and I will charge a daily rate of $40. Meals are not included, but I am more than happy to prepare items brought from home. I will also assist with potty training, provide all sleeping materials, and assist in development through age appropriate play. We will spend time outside daily, weather permitting of course. I do have a proposed schedule available already too! My policies and procedures are also available upon request.

Since we are still pending our license, I will not be taking deposits. Just simply adding your name to the waitlist. Families will be contacted in order when approval to open is received.
