About
At Nature Learning Daycare we are a huge fan of hands-on and emergent curriculum learning. We believe that children learn best when they are excited and learning with a hands-on approach!
I have 8+ years of experience working with children of all ages and have spent the last 3 years working as a lead teacher at a highly accredited daycare company. I am first-aid, CPR, AED, and CDA certified, I have taken a variety of child development courses as well as keep myself regularly up to date on child development and early childhood education practices.
My program focuses on raising compassionate children not just smart kids, and teaching children in an approach that is environmentally immersive. I encourage messes, digging in the mud, searching for worms, gardening, watering plants, studying bugs, catching butterflies, and building forts. I enjoy engaging the children in activities that encourage team building skills, develop leadership opportunities, promote self help skills and engage a child's critical thinking and problem solving skills. I also encourage outdoor exploration in a 'Yes' environment and strive to keep the children engaged and having fun!
Your child's safety is my first and foremost priority, so with that in mind, I am taking covid-19 very seriously. I sanitize and disinfect toys daily, and set up activities and centers to encourage children to remain socially distant naturally.
I work with each child and family individually to develop a strong line of communication and create individual learning assessments and plans that fit each child's needs. I work on kindergarten readiness, social/emotional development, language and writing, science/STEM and art on a daily basis depending on the needs of the child and family and the age.
I am taking Covid VERY seriously, so I will be offering a very limited amount of meet and greets, and center walk throughs in person, so if that is something you are interested in, please reach out to me directly either through my website or on Facebook!
