The mission of this family daycare is to provide a loving and safe environment. Our house is considered to be your child's second home. I have post-graduate training in Montessori education. My family daycare, which is licensed by the state of Maryland, will provide your child a small group setting that helps each infant and toddler flourish--both physically and psychologically. Each child makes friends and learns to share and build relationships.
In today's world, it is overlooked how small gestures, such as "please" and "thank you" can go a long way. Also, in my experience, every child develops at his or her own pace. I provide developmentally appropriate stimulation for each child through various activities, such as story time, listening to music, arts and crafts, and time spent outdoors. My daycare teaches children to explore and expand their horizons, while encouraging an appreciation for diversity in all walks of life.
I have 24 plus years in early childhood education. Former clients have included children of NIH scientists, top physicians and attorneys, federal government employees and other high-level professionals in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
