Hello! I go by "Miss Denia" I am loving, caring, and a lot of FUN. I am a mommy and a Professional Spanish Tutor looking to start a daycare in my home and provide a FUN and EDUCATIONAL environment for children of all ages! I have worked in daycare centers and also cared for children in my home since my 8yr old son was born. MY main priority is keeping your children SAFE, second is making sure they learn as much as possible while under my care (focusing on a 2nd language) and third is creating a FUN experience for your kids while away from home. A little background on me; I have a dual BA in Linguistic and Communication from the University of Massachusetts. I have worked as a Legal Court Interpreter at the Boston Supreme Court and also for all of Franklin County. As a side work I tutored and taught ESL classes at Columbus State Community College. I absolutely LOVE educating children and watching them learn and apply a new language. I believe the best and fastest way for a child to learn a foreign language is not necessarily in a classroom setting or having them suffer through grammar-focused instruction. What they need instead is the chance to use the language as it was intended as a "tool for communication" ( you know how they learned English) once they are familiar with the language then the grammar/spelling and conjugating is MUCH easier. As for my program I plan on having A LOT of fun this summer with my group of kids, I have memberships to places like Cosi/Westerville Rec/Columbus Zoo/FREE Community Pool etc. I plan on making their day as fun and educational as possible (PROMISE). Meals will be included in the weekly rate for those who are interested, I gear towards organic meals MOST of the time.

Aside from the Spanish program I also have 2 spots for children under the age of 3. My hours are 6AM to 6:30PM. Transportation to and from school available. I will also provide transportation to before and after care at an additional charge.

Because I was a court employee I do have a Bureau Criminal Investigation Report or BCI available to each customer. Any other information available upon request : )
