Hello! I am James and I have taught in the public schools in Connecticut for 35 years teaching all the Band instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums), and also piano. I also teach beginning violin, viola, and cello.
I have taught privately for many years and have worked with students from ages 9 to 75. In addition, I have performed professionally throughout Connecticut with numerous jazz groups.
When students study with me, they describe to me what they would like to accomplish on their instrument, and I will customize the music lesson to their own personal musical needs. This philosophy always makes the lessons more enjoyable for the student, as it becomes tailored to the individual.
