In-Home Daycare
90 Mulberry Street, Hyannis, MA 02601
I strive to bring the highest quality of nurturing care to my program and plan to do so for many years to come. My mother is a certified assistant for the program, so the children are well watched over and their needs are always met.
Our levels of care are split between the younger and older children. For infants, we make sure they are clean and in a whole new outfit when the parents come to pick up for the day. The goal is that they're ready for bed by pick up time, so that family time at the end of the day can be calm and enjoyed fully. We also have parents bring in everything the child needs for the week on Monday to reduce stress. No more worrying every single morning what needs to be brought, because it's already here!
For the older children, we have more interactive activities to ensure that they're learning a wide variety of topics while developing their sensory, fine and gross motor, social and emotional skills and more. We have plants the children water, an aquarium where the children feed fish and observe their swimming, and we also bake. I let the children be free with artwork to allow them to explore fully their creative expression. Another important element during our day-to-day is dance time. The children look forward to dancing and it's a great way to exercise the kids.
I am also a part of a food program, so I provide free meals for breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks.
I feel it is my responsibility to be attentive to the needs of parents as well as the children. The program hours are from 7am to 5pm and we also have after-hours available if necessary from 5pm to 7pm. We are also open on Saturdays if there is need. As I mentioned before, I try to make it as easy as possible for parents for pick up and drop off. I was a working parent too and understand the difficulties that can come from arranging child care. In addition, each child has a communication folder and each day the parents receive a daily report sheet so they are in the loop about exactly how their child's day went!
