Ms. Mandy's In-home Daycare

My name is Maranda Hanchett, and in August of 2016 I am opening an in-home daycare. I have two of my own precious children. At that time, Logan, will be 3 years old and Liam will be 7 months old. That being said, I am only looking to take in three children, ages 2 months - 4 years. I am CPR & First Aid certified. I am very excited for this opportunity and cannot wait to make your children feel at home in my home.

As a new in-home daycare, I am hoping to raise the in-home daycare standards. That being said, I want to assure you that your child will not only be participating in age appropriate social-emotional development activities, but also activities that are theme related and encourage learning for your child. Whether they are newborn or 4 years of age, it is never too soon to begin learning!

Each week will be theme related. There will be a literacy time to encourage early literacy skills, a math time to help establish those foundations math skills, story time to encourage children to have a passion for reading, free play indoors and outdoors to encourage social-emotional development and gross motor skills, and music/art to encourage fine motor skills and help expand your child's imagination. I know how important routine is, and therefore want our day to be as structured as possible.

I am so excited to start on this journey. I have a passion for education, and love the idea of helping young minds begin to blossom. They are after all, our future. Your children are just as important as mine, and I will consider them my own, while helping them to grow.
