Ms. Lona's Creative Kids

Ms. Lona's Creative Kids' Academy offers toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten curriculum that follows Massachusetts state mandates and guidelines. As a home child care licensed by the state, we follow all regulations put forth by the state of Massachusetts for in-home child care. We round out our inclusive academic program with age-appropriate music, dance, sensory, science, drama, art projects, craft projects, strengthening social skills, science experimentation and exploration, rich storytelling and writing, varied physical activities, and so much more in a nature filled setting.

Although we engage in learning and physical activities outdoors as often as possible, we have an expansive indoor space that allows for indoor learning and fun as well. In the space of a day, children will learn skills and concepts woven into a day often filled with varied sensory activities such as water play, putting together a play with props and costumes, painting while learning about color and form, marching in a self-directed musical parade, learning shapes by finding them in nature, storytelling with a flannel board, enriching outdoor activities like climbing , ball play or swinging that also encourage social skills and turn-taking, They might also participate in science experiments or hunting for evidence of seasonal changes, go on a field trip to a local destination, learn choreographed steps for a special dance, or build a city in the back yard.

As for qualifications, all personnel are CPR and First Aid certified. Ms. Lona has informative work experience with children on the Autism Spectrum and is working toward a Master's degree in education. We all love the children we care for and offer a nurturing, loving environment in which to grow!
