Ms. Lindsay's Childcare

Hello everyone! My name is Lindsay and I currently watch one other child (9 months) plus my daughter (2 years) and soon I will watch my nephew (6 weeks). I am looking to fill at least one (maybe two depending on ages) full time spot(s) for a child age 18 months and up. I have worked with children in different capacities for the last ten years. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education in 2007. Throughout college I worked with infants, toddlers and preschoolers at an on-campus early childhood center, after that I worked at an early childhood center in Leawood, Kansas for about eight months before moving on to work in an elementary school setting for 3 years in the North Kansas City School District. From 2011-2013 I worked at a childcare center in downtown Kansas City. I create a safe, fun, nurturing environment in my home. I am also insured under my homeowner's policy and will be claiming my earnings on my taxes, therefore you can claim them as well.

My experience with children has taught me that building relationships with children and families is the first step in creating an environment conducive to children being able to learn and grow cognitively, emotionally and physically.

I know from looking for childcare for my own child, as well as working in childcare that there are many thing to take into consideration when looking for a potential caregiver for the most precious thing in your life, your child.
