Ms. Kiya's Montessori

Hi! I provide Montessori-style care in my home (North Arlington, 76006) and have 2 infant/toddler spots available.

By sticking to a 1:4 ratio (1 professional to 4 children maximum), I offer individualized 1-on-1 care while also enabling the children to work on social-emotional development with others. With such a small group, children are less likely to get sick than at public daycare but still get the immunity-boosting benefits of being around other children.

I have 12 years of experience with children of all ages. I specialize in infant/toddler care and have a sweet 1-year-old son of my own (17 months). I work with the children on sign language and provide a fully prepared environment with evidence-based materials to foster cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. My home is fully baby-proofed and the children are free to move, choose activities, and explore throughout the day.

A typical day starts with breakfast followed by outside time, arts and crafts, a morning snack, circle time (guided learning, reading a book, and singing songs together), and then free play/a Montessori cycle. Next is lunch followed by a naptime routine and nap. After resting we have our afternoon snack followed by a second circle time and free play/a Montessori cycle. We do music time and a second outside time in the late afternoon. In cases of extreme weather, we set up the Pikler triangle and arch for indoor active play. For those needing after-hours care, I also offer dinner, an evening walk, a bath, a bedtime routine, and bedtime.

Infants are fed on-demand or based on schedule provided by parents. I offer individualized naptimes based on need for infants still on a 2 or 3 nap schedule.
