I feel passionate about the importance of a good and proper education for all children and/or adults. I feel that each individual person is so very special and they all have their own way of learning. On a regular basis, I use a Positive Reinforcement Technique with each child and/or adult and I will continue to encourage all to strive to become the best students that they possibly can be for the now and future years to follow. I firmly believe that learning can be fun and exciting and that everyone in school should have the benefits of being able to feel that excitement. I now have approximately 7 years of experience as a paid tutor. I am more than happy to also tutor students in the summer, as needed, and enjoy tutoring students of all ages. My youngest student has been 2 and my oldest student so far has been 52. I teach a wide range of subjects including Math, Reading, English, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science and so on. If requested and as needed, I will help any student study for tests, either on the local, state, or national level to the best of my ability. The other tutoring experiences that I do possess are in tutoring my own children, grandchildren, my preacher's daughter, my friend's son and my neighbor's children. Personally, I have two gifted children with very high IQs, and one accelerated child, besides three of my grandchildren who presently have ADHD and one of my grandchildren has Dyslexia as well, so I feel that I do know a great deal about the importance of tutoring and its benefits. Also, I have often times told my children, grandchildren, and students of all ages that they can be whatever they set their minds on becoming, as long as they put forth the effort by working hard in school, and that there may be times that they might not reach a particular goal. However, even if they do not reach a particular goal, not to get discouraged, but to try their best, as there are still so many more wonderful and interesting goals to reach and experience. These goals may not only include their grades, but many other responsibilities such as showing up to school and class on time, respecting others as individuals and their possessions, using their manners and values on a daily basis, making good decisions, turning in homework assignments, willingness to do research, and keeping up with ongoing technologies.
