Ms. Catherine's In-home Daycare

Hi there! My name is Catherine and I am a transplant to the valley (September, 2013). I moved here from NYC where I was a private nanny for the last several years. While in high school and college, I worked for 5 families (9 children over 8 years) and have done the odd babysitting night for countless more. I was with my last two families for 3 and 4 years respectively.

Experience and skills: I have worked and am comfortable with breast milk/formula, disposables/cloth diapers, baby wearing/attachment parenting. I have potty-trained, tutored, and encouraged my charges to express their creativity in any medium; dance, acting, art, singing, writing and so on. WE PLAY! there is NO TV watching during daycare hours. Music, crafts, imaginative play, and reading are on our agenda. I practice gentle discipline and am comfortable with most parenting styles. I have cooked meals for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike; allergy related diets are also accommodated.

Amenities: In the home, we have a huge playroom, craft room and a tumble area (for the older children). The gated neighborhood also has a nice playground, as well as other green spaces; this is in addition to the homes backyard.

Pricing/Hours/Ages: I will be charging a day rate of $30 and will provide the meals and snacks for an additional $5 a day. I make almost everything from scratch and run a chemical free home. Hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.; a need for more hours, earlier or later, can be discussed with me as well. A tour of the home is available. I will be accepting children ages birth to school age.
