Mrs. Kate's Daycare

I am in the process of getting Florida state in home daycare licensure. I am accepting infants to 5 year olds. I will also accept school aged children on an as needed basis during the summer. My husband is a police officer and we understand childcare is hard to find for certain schedules. I will work with your schedules. Each day will have a set schedule depending on the age of the children. I have two rooms and a bathroom in the front of my house that will be used for daycare. The front room has a beautiful sunny window for play times. The other room has is a bit darker and that will be for nap times. The backyard is fenced in. I have lots of resources from teaching kindergarten that will be appropriate for preschool/pre-K age children to get them ready for kindergarten. I have two hypoallergenic dogs.

About Me: I have a BA in Elementary Education. I have been a public school teacher for five years - 1 year in second, 1 year in fifth, and the last three years in kindergarten. When I was in college, I worked part time as a lifeguard/swim instructor, and then I started working part time at a preschool. After I graduated college I was hired at a public school but I continued to work at the preschool in the summers for two years. Before I moved one year ago, I spent two years as the infant Sunday School teacher at my church.
