Mrs. Bywater's Bright Beginnings

My name is Eden, and welcome to Mrs. Bywater's Bright Beginnings Family Daycare. Starting January 10, 2019, I will be opening up my home as a small state-licensed family childcare business to Toddlers ranging in age from 18 months to 4 years. I plan to keep the business small creating a small teacher ratio of 1:4. This will allow me to set aside more individual time with each child and provide additional learning opportunities and outside activities.

I have had a lot of teaching and child-care experience for a variety of ages, including being a Public School Elementary Music Teacher and Choir Director, Special Education Aide, Assistant Day-care Teacher, piano teacher, nanny for 3 different families, babysitter, director of a youth choir, Camp Counselor for teens, and a mother. In addition, I have the equivalency in credits to an Associate's Degree, and will be pursuing and finishing my degree in Child Development. Also, I have already taken two college Early Childhood Education classes, Early Childhood Education and Learning and Early Childhood Observation and Assessment, been fingerprinted by the state of California, TB tested, and have had training on Shaken Baby Syndrome.

I plan to implement Early Childhood Education techniques as an In-Home caretaker such as encouraging warm relationships between your child and mine, presenting a safe and inviting environment, learning to work and play together, teaching social, cognitive, and fine motor skills, teaching through both personal creativity, imagination, and different instructional approaches, assessing and communicating your child's developmental and cognitive progress, encouraging health and nutrition, promoting strong communication through verbal and non-verbal cues, and participating in community programs (library story time, zoo, children's museums, etc.). In addition, I usually designate a specific time in the day for music and movement and the promotion of the Arts.

All learning materials, personal vehicle gas, and meals (light breakfast, snacks, and lunch) are covered by my in-home childcare services, unless your child has specific dietary restrictions.

It is my goal to give your child the very best care and learning experience that he/she deserves through their time in my home. As a mother and teacher, I desire for every child to have the opportunity to learn and reach their greatest potential.
