Hi! I'm Mary Doherty, Founder and Director of mPowered Virtual Learning & Education Support, LLC.
mPowered serves students K-12 through virtual one-to-one and small group personalized instruction to strengthen and develop reading, writing, math, science, and executive function skills. We focus on delivering multi-sensory instruction to reach the needs of all learners. We also offer the Orton-Gillingham reading method which is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with Dyslexia.
mPowered was founded in April of 2020 by certified Special & General Education teacher, Mary Doherty. Mary has 10+ years of public school and private tutoring experience specifically supporting students with disabilities and twice-exceptional learners. Our team of teachers focus on reaching all students through meaningful, fun, and interactive instruction. All of our teachers are certified in their state of residence.

mPowereed Virtual Learning has been working with my daughter to help build her confidence in math. She's currently on grade level, however we wanted someone who could help her realize just what she's capable of! Each week my daughter's tutor shows up with a fun, hands-on learning activity to help broaden her math understanding and most importantly help her to believe that she can be a mathematician! My child has been working with Mary from mPowered for the past two months on improving his written expression. He has grown tremendously in improving the organization, content, and overall production of his writing. I was hesitant at first about virtual instruction because I really wanted an in-person tutor, however, Mary has proven to provide an interactive learning experience even through the computer! Highly recommend using mPowered!

Mary, the owner, got my child from a non-reading to reading level in about 6 weeks. The progress we have seen has been incredible. The investment in my child's literacy has been completely worth it. I would not hesitate to have her or her staff work with any of my children!
