If you are trying to avoid the general phobia /germs of daycare but would like your child to be well socialized, have playmates, in addition to lots of individual attention and learning.....I offer childcare in MY Powell/Dublin/Sawmill Rd area home (@ 2 miles South of Zoo). I am an very experienced Mom/Caretaker who is extremely reliable, responsible as well as patient, very active and fun. We read, sing, create and do learning activities. I will be very interactive with your child as well as work on all milestones. I have 10+ years' experience with most of it caring for children 2 months - 4 years. I am certified in CPR and I also have a degree in Psychology and Sociology. I have an immediate opening for 2 children full or part-time. Currently, I care for 2 brothers twice a week, another child 2 days per week (different days) and I have my own 2 year old. I currently have no infants although I have cared for MANY, and I will not watch more than 5 on any given day. We have a fenced in backyard and a huge great room with lots of toys. My home is very clean and child/baby safe and open. I offer very healthy, well-balanced meals and snacks - mostly all natural or organic. I am not just a "babysitter", we avoid television, introduce constructive/creative play, implement learning, working on milestones and of course - we HAVE FUN! I will keep a notebook record of your child's day/bathroom visits/meals/nap length, etc..... I know how stressful it is to look for and choose childcare and I can promise that you will feel good about leaving your child in my home. It's extremely important to me that your child is happy, safe and thriving as I want you to feel like I am an extension of your family! I charge a daily rate for full-time (30+ hrs per wk) and an hourly rate of $10 for part-time. My approx. hours are from 7:15am-5:15pm. Unfortunately, I cannot hold open spots for those that don't need care for 2+ months from now, so I would ask that you contact me 4-6 weeks before your start date to see if I still have an opening. At that point, I can answer more questions and we can set up a day to meet. If you feel like it s a good fit for you and your family, I can then hold the spot for a few weeks once you have committed.
