Montessori Learning Collective

Montessori Learning Collective is a research based, multi-aged, hands on, learning environment which serves students from 3 through 6 years old, including the Kindergarten year. Children who are independently using the toilet may be enrolled at 30 months. Our school values outdoor education, diversity and inclusion, and creativity in a joyful learning community. Our Montessori village is a small, tight knit community with common health and safety measures, including vaccines, which empower the wellness of all. Montessori curriculum includes the development of the whole child: social/emotional, cognitive, fine and gross motor and the spirit of the child. The Montessori environment has a vast array of learning materials for the children to explore: science, language, mathematics, geometry, sensorial, practical life, culture and arts. The students are offered weekly enrichment classes in: art, music, gardening and Spanish. Our program is full day Monday- Friday, 7:45-3:15 with the option of extended day care until 5:15. Montessori Learning Collective is proud to have Master level educators leading in the classroom- observing, assessing and guiding the development of the child and family. We include families in weekly child development updates and hope to establish collaborative, communicative, positive relationship with families in our community. Our school is located conveniently between I-26 and I-526 near Tanger and the Charleston International Airport, 10 minutes from West Ashley, Park Circle and Downtown Charleston. Our green campus is on 4 acres including a walking labyrinth, bee hive, gardens and a large fenced in playground.
