Montessori Beginnings

I'm opening an in home Montessori toddler program in Wesley Chapel. This will be a licensed daycare.
I have over 10 years experience in childcare. At 31 years old this is really all I've ever done and all I've ever wanted to do! Being a Montessori teacher I will incorporate age appropriate Montessori lessons into our daily routine. Because this age group is so young, we will have a lot of free play! My room will be set up with shelves for our lessons, as well as toys for free play. I will have a separate area for meals and a separate area for naps. My outdoor area has a wooden play set as well as stumps and logs for crawling/balancing. We will have a lot of Sensorial play (hearing, feeling, smelling) as well as practical life lessons (twisting/turning, dressing self, washing hands, watering plants, etc).
I have a sand and water table, bubbles, balls, a play set with toddler swings and varies other outdoor toys for outside play.
I will serve the children a healthy breakfast, one which they can feed themselves with minimal help. We will have 2 snack times that I will provide through out the day. I will ask you pack a healthy lunch for your child. At this age I believe packing a lunch you know your child likes will work out best. This may change at a later time once I get to know the children's diets.
I charge $175/week for full time which works out to right about $3.50 an hour and unlike most in home child cares, I will be doing so much more than just watching your child. They will be learning everyday. They will have fun, feel loved and be respected. Please contact me with any questions!
