Montessori Academy At Westridge

Montessori Academy at Westridge opened its doors in September of 2009. An "All Day Montessori Curriculum" is held Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. to accommodate parent schedules. Keeping in line with the curriculum set forth by Dr. Maria Montessori, our mission is to establish a foundation of life long learning for children in a challenging yet nurturing environment. Through the development of self-worth, our students will grow into talented, motivated and contributing members of our society. Montessori Academy at Westridge will provide a Montessori Education paired with a comprehensive set of enrichment and extracurricular activities.

Our enrichment curriculum includes Spanish, Computer, Music and Drama. After school, extracurricular programs offered are Soccer, Gymnastics, Cheerleading and Arts & Crafts as a convenience to the parents. During the summer months, we continue our Montessori schedule in addition to exciting activities such as petting zoos, bounce houses, water slides, science, music, art and sports camps.

Little eyes absorb everything and everyone around them. We, as caregivers, are the role models. Therefore, we make it a point to greet every child with a big smile; communicating to him or her that the world is a friendly place. Our staff members are certified and experienced Montessori teachers. Children at our school will learn certain values and will have a deep respect for the needs of other people. They will acquire self-confidence and a thirst for knowledge. Mixed age grouping encourages children to teach and help each other. Gentle guidance from the talented teachers in hands-on activities is responsible for the development of these qualities. We believe that parents are an integral partner with the school in guiding the children. We know that as a parent you do not care what we know, until you know that we care.
