Monrovia preschool program provides quality, care, and education, to children by implementing an enriching curriculum that is carefully planned to meet the needs of young children. Our curriculum enhances educational and social experiences that are between home and kindergarten. Monrovia preschool provides an environment that is safe and conducive to positive experiences. Children ages 18 months to the entry of kindergarten will assemble and play together while being guided toward a happy and wholesome preschool experience. Learning environment is created to assist children in their skill development. All children enjoy a time indoor and outdoor play on equipment suitable to age. They will engage in games, creative art and crafts, science, story time, nature and observation, rhythm, and music, sharing experiences and much more. Children are surrounded by a loving atmosphere of respect and appreciation of each individual. They are encouraged to progress at their own rate objective is to guide each child's learning experiences by providing a stimulating curriculum of lasting value in the following area: intellectually enthusiasm for learning is encouraged and discovery learning is practiced. Age appropriate preschool academics are introduced and kindergarten preparedness is emphasized. Socially- positive social skills are taught. Children are encouraged to participate in-group activities. Physically- children will play on equipment that is age appropriate. The development of large and small muscles coordination is encouraged. Two-year-old classes will be introduced to age appropriate preschool. Academics through toys, music, and games, and teacher guided activities. The children will learn to socialize and communicate with classmates. The two-year-old class will be introduced to numbers and letters. Academics will be taught by using playful methods and fun activities. Three-year-old class children will be introduced to age appropriate preschool academics. They will be introduced to age appropriate preschool academics through the use of toys, music,games and teacher guided activities. They will learn in a two fold approach: oral and visual instruction. They will be introduced to numbers, and letters, and sound of letters. The children will identify their written name. Pre-kindergarten will enjoy preschool academics in a three-fold approach:oral,visual,and written instruction.
