As an in-home child care provider, Moffett's Munchkins provides a fun, educational, and rewarding experience for your infant, toddler, or preschooler in a safe and loving environment that he or she will thrive in. Through age-appropriate creative play and a structured, yet flexible curriculum, we work on sensory stimulation, motor skills development, imagination and creativity enrichment, character development, and preschool preparation.
PHILOSOPHY:
I believe children are the most precious gifts on earth, and I value the trust parents bestow in me when they allow me to care for their child daily. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child, and to join in their laughter and growth.
I take great care to encourage your child's ideas and imagination, acknowledge their individuality, and validate each personality. My goal is to provide a place where children know that they are accepted, loved, protected, and wanted; helping to instill in each child a strong sense of self-worth and purpose. It is my hope that your child returns home, feeling happy and proud of their selves.
ABOUT JESSICA MOFFETT:
I am a native Austinite, and proud to call Texas my home. I'm a self-proclaimed movie buff and have a great DVD collection. I love travelling and seeing new sites. I have a soft spot for dachshunds (Toto is my furry, four-legged child).
For 13 years, I worked in grocery retail where I managed over 100 employees. Although I was successful in my career and loved my job, I felt a constant void. I knew it was time to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion to care for children.
I wanted to have a positive impact in children's lives, so I began fostering infants and toddlers. As I reinforced hope with my foster children, I found inspiration in them; they inspired me to fulfill my dreams of operating my own in-home childcare/learning facility. I find this career so rewarding, and I couldn't be happier!
