With 20 years of experience in home daycare, I have worked with children of all ages, not only professionally but as a Scout Leader, Religious Education Teacher, and mother of 2. My philosophy on child care is 1st keep them safe, then help them thrive. In a small home daycare like mine I can balance individual needs but still offer vital social interaction. While I don't offer a classroom environment, I find teachable moments during play. I believe my primary responsibility is to teach or reinforce good manners and social skills putting them in prime position to learn when they get to school.
