I have been a child care provider in my home in excess of 16 years. I have an associate's degree in Child Care and Development and have worked both in child care centers in addition to being a provider in my home. I have two children, ages 16 and 14. I am currently working with the children that I care for teaching them some basic sign language that I have learned to help with their communication development. One thing that I take pride in providing is the use of a child care app called Brightwheel so that you can stay tuned in to what your child is doing while they are in my care. Some of the information included on this app are diaper changes, foods, drinks and naps. We love to go for walks around the block, a drive to the library, trips to the nearby neighborhood park, water play on hot days and lots of fun age appropriate activities! As your care provider, I want to work in conjunction with you to help your child along in their development in any way that I can. I am hoping to form a long term relationship with your family. I do appreciate a family that is flexible should I need to run my children to a school activity before or after school, allowing their child to join us in the car. (I can give you advance notice to these outings most of the time) We are a non-smoking family with a friendly dog named Maddie (a Beagle that keeps to herself most of the day and is great with the children), and I would love to hear from you!
PLEASE NOTE: My current availability is for a part time or potentially full-time spot for either an infant or a young toddler starting after May 1st. I am open to taking on a full-time child between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 or 4:45 p.m. with some flexibility in the exact times. These hours allow me to be available for my own children's extra curricular activities.
