After 11 years of teaching grades 1-5, I am leaving the classroom in order to pursue my dream of starting my own in-home daycare and preschool. I have 2 children of my own (ages 3 and 7 months) and in trying to find wonderful in home care for my children I struggled to find affordable care that also offered the educational and professionalism I wanted. I decided to create that for other parents.
I offer care Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. These times can be adjusted based on the needs of parents. I will provide healthy snacks each day, arts and crafts, outdoor play, stories, songs, imaginative play, motor skill practice and the care and attention I want for my own children. I think a healthy mix of structured learning times and free play are essential.
