Miss Emily's House

Hello! My name is Emily and I may just be the one you have been praying for to provide care for your children. If you take the time to read the brief description of all my education and experience, I believe that I may out-shine other competitors for your child 's care. My hope is to work as a nanny from inside my Point Loma home so I can be with my 1 year old twin daughters every day, but also help raise children from one other family. To ease your potential first fear, I have extensive amounts of experience caring for multiple children at one time, so please don 't let that be a deterrent. Since I live in military housing I cannot run a daycare unless it is a military daycare, which is something I do not want to do. So legally, I can watch children as a nanny from one family without a license inside my home.

My home is cleaned daily with eco-friendly cleansers, and it's very safe and fun. I am completely supportive of breast feeding and cloth diapering. Our daughters have minimal exposure to TV and I only get on my phone during nap-times. We serve only whole, natural foods in our home. My husband is a police officer. We are an honest, church-attending family and both my husband and I are fingerprinted with clean background checks and DMV records. We are both CPR/First Aid certified. I have impressive references and my Bachelor's Degree provided me with a complete education in childhood fitness and nutrition. We spend our days walking, playing, reading and learning. My patience and personality has provided many parents with peace as they searched for gentle, fun and educated child care.

In total, I have professionally worked as a nanny for ten years, and have babysat and volunteered in church nurseries for over fifteen years. I have been CPR certified in one capacity or another since I was 12 years old (Emergency Medical Technician, Lifeguard, First Responder, etc.) and having all of that training has come in handy more than a few times. In addition to professional childcare, I have worked as a homework tutor, swim instructor and coach. Children have a fun time with me and parents trust me, and I do not take that for granted. After meeting me, most people find an instant friend, and I have never had to wait to be offered a job in childcare; every parent that has ever met me has offered me a job instantly. Most of my "jobs " as a nanny were for years!
