Hello! I am a child care provider with nearly 30 years experience. I have four grown children and have been married to my sweetheart Jim for 31 years. We have lived in the Evansville/Newburgh area for over 28 of those years. I have had an in home daycare in the past, as well as serving as a nanny for several families over the years, and I can provide you with outstanding references!
I am offering full time childcare for 4-5 children in my newly renovated walk out basement which is designed specifically for childcare; ages newborn up to age four. We are open M-F from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
As an experienced mother and caregiver, I have found that using plenty of praise & encouragement is the best way to teach and motivate. Consistency and clear guidelines help your child feel secure and safe. Positive reinforcement and redirection are the most effective ways to help guide and nurture little ones.
When caring for your baby, I will spend my time holding, dancing with, singing and reading to him or her. (Yes, even a newborn enjoys being read to!) I will work closely with you to develop an individualized eating and sleeping routine for your baby. I am completely familiar with and enjoy all aspects of infant care. I 've had 4 children myself, including twins who were born prematurely and required special care early on. (Now, they are 23!)
I value "hands on " activities with your child such as imaginative play, crafts, games, outdoor play and lots of reading together! We have morning snack, lunchtime at 11:30 a.m. followed by naptime from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m. I 'm happy to assist you with potty training when your toddler is ready.
Play is the way I approach learning with children. It 's what they do naturally! Through play, little ones learn about themselves, their surroundings and other people. It helps develop healthy personalities and leadership skills later in life.
Miss Anne Daycare is all about play! My in-home daycare is designed to be a stimulating, engaging and fun environment. I have carefully chosen every detail from the colors of the walls, to the placement of toys and books, so that your child will be immersed in a world of safe, loving fun.
I believe every play experience is an opportunity for learning. Playing independently helps develop problem solving skills and self awareness. When playing with others, children learn social skills such as sharing, empathy and cooperation. Your child will have the best opportunity for rich & stimulating play.
