Hi, my name is Amy and I am a licensed in-home child care provider in Colorado Springs, CO 80920 (Briargate).
A bit about my child care and philosophy: I believe children love to learn and they learn best when playing, singing and dancing! I have a myriad of educational and just for fun toys and manipulatives. My goals are to provide a safe home away from home, then to prepare your child(ren) for kindergarten and teach good habits for a successful life! I emphasize what the children will need to know for a jump start in kindergarten, such as: colors, numbers, letters and their sounds, reading, cutting with scissors, simple addition and subtraction, writing letters and their name, lining up, sitting still for circle time and story time, etc. I've introduced Your Baby Can Read and Muzzy (Italian) into my curriculum and am anticipated wonderful results. We do outside play time and walks daily. (weather permitting) I do at least one field trip a month during the winter and at least two during the summer months. I make as many of the trips as educational as possible, but we do sometimes just go do something fun! I currently have 3 openings for children 12 months and over!
A little about me: I have 5 kids! All but one are in school so just my youngest is in my child care. They are 19, 17, 13, 12 and 4 so needless to say I've been raising kids for a long time! Which also means your child will benefit from all those years of experience and trial and error! I did child care in my home when my older children were younger and have been at it again for a 3 years (totaling 5 years). I am a Christian so my child care does have Christian elements in it such as: stories about Jesus, daily devotional, Vegitales videos and bible songs.
My hours of operation are 7am - 6pm.
Rates: Full-time $155/week, Part-time (depending on the hours) $80-100/week.
Drop-in care for full day (6 hours or more) is $35/day.
Drop-in care for part day (less than 6 hours) is $25day.
Drop-in care per hour is $4/hour/child.
Before and After-School care $80/week (a transportation fee added if child needs to be picked up &/or dropped off).
