I am a licensed teacher who will use a mindful approach to educational tutoring for students K-8. I can help tutor all subjects and I specialize in math and science. Tutoring can be done in your home (recommended) or virtually. I will not just be a homework helper, but another educator in your families corner as we learn to balance this new blended and distance learning.
I will not only tutor your students in their subject areas, I will work with your students to cultivate secular mindful practices to help reduce stress and anxiety, increase concentration and focus, increase clarity in thinking, and help students regulate their responses during these unprecedented times.
I am available to tutor families with students of varied ages at the same or different times. I encourage families to work together and gather friends of the same grade to have mini classroom sessions, if they feel comfortable enough to do so, as well. This will cut down costs and add some important socialization and student-to-student discourse throughout our sessions.
