Mindful Heart Care

I have been involved with caring for relatives, my own as well as others' children (when they were young) and many dear people along the way for as long as I can remember.
In 2010, I more officially started caregiving for elderly clients as well as people of varying ages with illnesses that limited their ability to care for themselves. I have a degree in exercise science, am a certified yoga teacher and mindfulness instructor as well so I love mindful movement and am often asked to provide movement support /instruction on my visits ( many times elderly clients have attended PT which they would like to follow through with and I assist with that happily).
When my children were young I did lots of childcare and in a pinch some people still ask for that which I am still open to if my schedule allows. I have even done some pet sitting...the variety has been quite enjoyable!
I have driven clients into NYC and DC and even accompanied on some elders on big trips (a few which involved flying) who needed another hand/ support/ driver/ companionship/ guidance.
I am reliable, trustworthy, educated, flexible, mindful and compassionate. I strive to live in a way that focuses on integrity and nurturing respect for/with the beings I care for.
I would be happy to hear from you to discuss how I might be able to help you and/or your loved one and am open to creative and flexible solutions in certain situations (for example longer trips would not involve an hourly rate).
