I am a childcare provider who has 17 years experience working with children of all ages, and ethnicities. I worked for the San Diego Unified School District for 8 years. 6 of those years I worked in special education support. I left the district to start Mimi's Place Family Daycare to create an opportunity to spend more time with my daughter, but still work with other children.
At Mimi's Place I offer an art based learning environment for children to creatively play. My focus is cognitive/social development through hands on activities. I specialize in one on one care, provide recommendations supporting cognitive/socio-emotinal development to meet each individual child's needs, and speech development. I also provide respite services for families. At Mimi's Place we welcome, and embrace cultural diversity/awareness. We pride ourselves in love, and acceptance of everyone. My ultimate goal is to provide quality care, and support to families in San Diego County.
