Milestones offers a fun and interesting, learning focused environment. Our classroom is mixed age with children from 2.5 to 5 years old. We are licensed, certified, degreed (Business and Early Childhood Education) and credentialed at the level six with the Md Dept of Education. We concentrate on life skills in addition to academics. Also, a Military Fee Assistance Preferred Provider.

Milestones is owned and operated by a Mother of 4, who holds a degree in Business and Early Childhood Education. We have 21 years of experience with children, of all ages. Milestones is licensed with the Department of Education in the State of Maryland (159184) and is credentialed at the state's highest level. We are also members of Maryland Excels and the Montgomery County School Food Program.

Milestones is trained and experienced in Early Childhood Education, Language Development, Special Needs, Movement and Motor Skills, Nutrition, and many other Early Childhood Specialties.

The center is located in a beautiful and updated single family home in Silver Spring, MD on charming Seminary Road, with nearly 1/2 acre of manicured outdoor space. The location is convenient to Forest Glen Metro, Georgia Avenue, 16th Street, and I-495 and there is a bus stop right outside (Ride On #5)! The location is super convenient, but our play space is safe and out of the way. The large open yard provides a garden and plenty of outdoor spaces, toys, and equipment for safe play and exploration.

Our curriculum includes motor skill development, early math, science, English and Spanish; outside play, gardening and exploration, nutrition, exercise, and most importantly the encouragement to help each child reach their full potential.

We promote language, cognitive, and problem solving skill development, as well as cultural and diversity awareness. All children will be encouraged to participate in all activities cooperatively, to communicate responsibly, and to be(come) aware of manners and responsible behavior.
