Hi! My name is Michelle Johnson and I am a licensed, in-home childcare provider with over 17 years experience. Excellent referrals available. Highly recommended program.

I have immediate openings available for infants (birth- 2yo), toddlers (over 2yo), pre-school, and before/after school care (2 blocks from Greenhills Elementary). I am certified for infant/pediatric/adult CPR/First Aid and Health & Safety through American Red Cross, TB tested, finger printed within federal database, 150+hrs in continuing education, and college education including Early Childhood Development courses. I am currently participating in an accreditation program, taking a class through the highly acclaimed Program for Infant/Toddler Care (www.PITC.org), and participate in monthly training/grant programs through Placer County Office of Education (PCOE).

My facility is clean, smoke-free, and has large, fenced in back yard with plenty of overhead shade. We even have chickens our daycare kids hatched last year. My philosophy is children learn best in nurturing, safe, and loving environment that provides many different outlets for play. I love watching the children learn and master new things and make/foster peer friendships. A daily schedule provides for music and movement, science, cooking, writing center, reading area, dramatic play, sensory and outdoor play. We are hatching chicks again this year and we have a garden the children plant and care for. I am an outdoor and active person by nature and so we spend much of our day outside, weather permitting. We take local walks and go on field trips. Past trips have been to the fish hatchery, the Sacramento Zoo, Placer County Nature Center, Old Town Sacramento, museums, and parks to name a few.

My mission is to provide superior care for your children in a safe and loving home. I highly encourage family participation and communication. All meals and snacks are provided and I participate in a USDA food program. We like to eat fruits and veggies here and other nutritious foods. I offer a half-day or full-day rate plan.
