About

Home away from home is the special care that I give the children in my daycare versus the quantity of children you may see in others. I went to Penn State University as an Education major and worked for the child development counsel. The counsel had 27 daycares involved with it. It was a great experience growing and learning with all the different types of age levels of the children and their different personalities. I've been very fortunate to have some of the most wonderful families and their children with me. I've watched them grow from birth until they began school. We do circle time, begin to learn how to read or keep on task with reading and math by playing games. In my home daycare, there is a balance of learning and a lot of fun. We love to do crafts in my home. Crafts are our favorite. Watching kids create their own art is the most rewarding lesson for them and for me because they learn so much through art with colors, shapes, sizes and fine motor skills. When we're not in the pool, are favorites are fun exercising, playing in our big front yard, or maybe taking a nice walk around the neighborhood for a field trip. We also do quiet time to rest and pick a movie or a book to share and take time out. I think it is really important for a great relationship to have great communication between parent and caregiver. I try and let them know all details of their little one's day. I have had a background check. Their safety is important to me and for you. We are family here!
