I started Mi Primera Escuelita ('My First Little School' in Spanish) after searching for a bilingual preschool that offered active learning for my son. I did not find a program that satisfied my needs so I decided to create one and offer it to other families in my community. I was a Spanish teacher (Pre-K to 4th grade) before I decided to stay home with my children.
Mi Primera Escuelita is a bilingual program that is focused on promoting Spanish learning while providing students with activities and experiences that will help them develop the educational and social skills necessary for more formal schooling. The curriculum is aligned with the South Carolina Early Learning Standards of education.
