Melissa's House

Hi Parents, I'm Melissa. I have two kids, my son, who is 5, and my daughter is 7 months old. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past 5 years, and have provided childcare in my home during that time, but I have a combined 10 years of childcare experience. We love the outdoors, creative learning, reading, art, music, science, gardening, and traveling. We are also bilingual English/Spanish, and I have obtained a certificate in Deaf studies from Columbus State which has enabled me to learn conversational ASL on a basic level, therefore I'm happy to incorporate ASL and Spanish as part of our daily activities. Since we feel strongly about the impact food has on our health I'm also willing to provide organic snacks/meals for parents who are interested, and gluten free food for children who are gluten intolerant. I know how difficult it can be to trust that your sweet babies will be taken care of while you are away, so I try my best to keep parents informed about all of our daily activities. I also like to regularly take pictures that I can send to parents at the end of each month. We have a good sized, clean, smoke-free, pet-free home, full of safe toys. We also have a finished basement that is baby safe, and a large fenced-in back yard where your kids can swing, garden, play in sprinklers, or jump on our (low to the ground, spring free, and netted) trampoline.
