Hello Future Families,
My name is Melanie, and I have been doing in Home Day Care for 18 years in the Flagstaff location. I'm reaching out to possible future families. I have a current group of kids that I have had the honor of taking care of the past four to five years and are all around the same age and they will be moving on to new adventures in their lives. Although this is very upsetting to me for, as they have been a bigger part of my life for a long time, and it is very hard for me to let them go, I look forward to hearing about their stories and new adventures. On the upside, this will create multiple openings for my daycare family to grow and add other new chapters with new adventures in my life with new families. If you're looking for a warm, loving and caring environment you can trust while your away supporting for your family and not have to be concerned on how they are doing each and every time you drop off, I would love the opportunity to include you into our families lives.

I was born and raised here in Flagstaff, have been married for 24 years and we have a 17 year old son.
I used to provide childcare in your home while going through high school and part way through college, but quickly discovered how much I loved working with kids so much, that I decided to pursue a degree in elementary education and early childhood education through NAU and graduated in 1996. Not long after our son was born in 2002, my husband had someone he went to school with ask if we might be willing to watch their new born son until they were able to find a location that would take him. Knowing that we could use a little extra money, we decided that we would help...and this started the beginning of 18 years of doing day care from our home. I found that I could do the same training I was given in college right here at home and with a much smaller group of children. I have been given great joy with each child that has blessed our home and I don't see me ever growing tiresome of teaching our young children things they will use for the rest of their lives. Day care can be a big burden on family lives, and a huge worry, so I hope to remove as much of that burden as possible. My motto is, If I am not doing my job, then you aren't able to give your job the 100% it needs from you!
