" Me Myself And I"

My in- home family childcare offers a comprehensive program for toddlers and preschool age children. As an educator I truly believe learning begins within a home environment. As a parent an educator, I know children learn best when they are happy, safe, secure, nurtured and thankful. My in-home environment allows me to deliver personalized instruction on a "one-on-one" basis. Activities will include free playtime, large and small motor skill activities, story time, arts and craft, music and dance activities, nutrition, holiday activities, bible stories, rhymes, songs prayer and other educational; yet fun, activities. My program also serve nutritional meals, snacks, practicing good personal hygiene skills and manners(hand washing and brushing teeth). Through a mixture of guided and free choice play, children will have the opportunity to learn their colors, shapes, numbers, letter/phonics, animals, seasons, the senses, basic science and math concepts. Creative concepts such as: pretend/imaginary play and nursery rhymes. Basic etiquette skills will also be taught. Grace is an important table manner that will be recited before eating meals. Prearranged educational field trips are included within the curriculum.
