Mastering multiple languages is becoming more and more important in this very competitive and ever-globalizing world. Since China has the fastest growing economy in the world, the Chinese language has become one of the fastest growing foreign languages here. Learning a new language is much easier for kids than it is for adults. So, that's why we open a Chinese/English bilingual day care to help young children build brighter futures.

Although Chinese language learning is the focus of the program, we offer a developmentally age-appropriate balanced curriculum (approved by college professors), which incorporates speaking, reading, mathematical, and critical thinking skills. The character building activities enhance your child's self-esteem and encourage good moral habits. By providing high-quality child care, May and her assistant teachers will well prepare your child for entering kindergarten and future successes.

This is a group child care, which is located in a quiet, safe, and nice neighborhood with spacious living and yard/play areas. We welcome children from all ethnic families, including full/part timers, and before/after school kids.

May's Profile:
* Bachelor degree in education.
* Master degree candidate of the EMU early childhood education program.
* A professional Chinese school language teacher and an experienced child care provider with more than 17 years teaching and child care providing experience.
* Certificates of CPR/AED and First Aid.
* One of the Chinese version editors for "Safer Sleep for Infants" program video of Washtenaw Area Council for Children.
* Member of NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care) and NABE (National Association for Bilingual Education).

* We have adequate, varied, and age-appropriate equipment and materials for playing and educational activities
* Our snacks and lunches conform with the regulation of USDA food program
* Teacher-child ratios: 1:2 - 1:6. Small group sizes and low children-staff ratios mean lots of individual attention
* Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. * We have a big, shaded, and organic (we never use chemicals there) backyard.
* We often use a very powerful steam cleaner (MRY7910 Royal Procision Carpet Shampooer and Extractor) to clean the floor.
* Mallets Creek Public Library, Cobble Stone Farm, Buhr Park, Rose Park, and County Farm Park are all within five minutes walking distance. When the weather is good, we can often go to attend the library's preschool events, visit the famous farm, and have field trips in the parks. We bought a six-seat stroller just for this purpose.
