About
I am a very loving and dedicated mom of three and grandmother of four. I am looking to help teach and care for children as if they were my own (as my last child is now in 7th grade and I have home-schooled for the previous school year).
I have (over the years) cared for children both long and short term, anywhere from newborns to junior high school age.
I have over 20+ years of experience caring for children, as well as children with special needs. I have also enjoyed being a mother's helper, picking children up from school, picking up dry cleaning, etc.
I enjoy teaching, reading and playing, while providing a nurturing, loving, pleasant, fun, safe environment for children.
I believe in children having fun and being stimulated and challenged (not just TV watching).
We take walks, go to the park, do crafts, visit the library to name a few of our activities.
I have been an assistant to the youth leader, and Sunday school teacher for our local church.
I volunteer yearly as an assistant to the business manager of my son's football team, also providing them with care, snacks, rides, encouragement and support.
I believe in and encourage parents to drop by and check in on their children. I also ask that parents take the time to go over their children's activities and art projects they bring home, as we celebrate each child's achievements daily for a healthy, positive self esteem.
