Maranatha Educational Services, LLC started in Jacksonville, FL as Maranatha Math Institute. It was founded by Duane A. Joseph, a math educator who wanted to help his students understand why they were doing what they were doing in math. Duane holds a BA in History from the University of North Florida, BA in Christian Education from Logos Christian College, MAT in Multidisiplinary Studies (Mathematics) from Webster University, and is currently working on a Masters in Education Leadership from Ottawa University. Duane has been certified in math and history in Florida and currently holds certifications in math and history in the state of Louisiana.

Duane has partnered with an excellent computer based math program to help assist students with retaining and grasping foundational mathematic concepts. He believes that one on one tutoring in the home and online is a great way for students to develop confidence and self-esteem which leads to success.
