I am interested in becoming your childcare provider. I have been a preschool teacher for 15 years and have completed my Associates Degree in Elementary Education in 2011 with University of Phoenix. I am currently working on obtaining my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and I will be graduating in December 2014 from University of Phoenix. My current GPA is 3.21 and I have 107 credits completed out of the 120 credits needed for my graduation in December.
In addition to my education I have a love and passion working with and teaching children. My most recent position was a preschool and School Age Teacher at All Things Bright and Beautiful Daycare, Avis, PA where I worked for 4 years with children with needs such as Behavior Disorders and teaching an Autistic child as well as successfully adapted my teaching style to aid in the education of a non-verbal autistic child as well as made them feel accepted by the rest of the class. To help aid me in teaching this student, I visited another school where they were I learned ideas to make their transition into my classroom as easy for them as I could. Under my instruction this student learned how to positively interact with their peers as well as verbalize their feelings. I also created and wrote all of my own lesson plans using the PA Early Learning Standards for Preschool, Lesson plans for School Age class using the PA Learning Standards, Work Sampling Evaluations for my Preschool Class, Monthly Observations on all my students, Manage and care for a class of up to 30 students, Special Events Communities, Field Trip Coordinator and knowledge and following all guidelines of Keystone Star 4 accredit center. I also have all of my current PA Clearances, Current Physical as well as knowledge of all DPW guidelines that are required in a daycare setting. My previous experience's have been but not limited to Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS), following and helping children reach their goals within their plan of treatment, Group Supervisor, and Assistant Head Start Teacher in Center County.
