This is a VA Medical Foster Home. This program provides an alternative to a nursing home; it allows veterans to remain in the community and be cared for by trained caregivers in a family-like setting. With a limit of three (3) residents, veterans are able to get the care that they deserve. The veteran lives in the caregiver's home that is inspected and approved by the VA. A caregiver can prepare meals, help with activities of daily living (such as feeding, bathing, grooming and dressing), provide transportation anddispense medications. MFHs team up with Home-Based Primary Care. HBPC is a VA team that includes a PCP, nurse, social worker, RT, dietician and other team members. Our facility is owned and operated by a Registered Nurse and is located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood in Longwood, FL. Our facility is equipped with: Monitored security and fire protection. Indoor and outdoor Ramps Wheelchair accessible bathroom Single rooms Formal dining Cable T.V. Wi-Fi Spacious backyard which includes a Koi Pond, Gazebo, paver-built fire pit and deck. Screened in patio. Close to shopping, major highway and restaurants.
