Maggie Kievit

I am a certified elementary teacher with ten years of experience as a classroom teacher, and I am currently home with my own two children and offering childcare in my home. Our group of three includes my almost four year old boy, my one year old girl, and another preschool age child who is here five days a week. I would love to add an additional child to round out our group! I believe that the "school of life" is the best teacher for the toddler and preschool age, and I offer a lot of time for unstructured indoor and outdoor play. We read a lot, create art, get dirty, enjoy snacks and meals together, take nature walks, have short bursts of instruction focusing on pre-reading and numeracy skills, and play, play, play!
