I am miss Lisa and I am so excited about the opportunity to connect with families and team up to provide loving, nurturing care for their children. I have a passion for encouraging and supporting the important development happening in early childhood. I believe a child's identity is a precious thing that deserves to be respected and celebrated! In my family child care home, we welcome children from all backgrounds, family structures, cultures, and beliefs!

We learn and grow from real life experiences. In our program, this happens by actively exploring our surroundings, and building activities based on our observations. Expect your children to come home and tell you all about the cool things they were able to get their little hands into that day!

Language and literacy is a strong focus in our home and I spend a great deal of time introducing children to great literature and building their vocabulary through books, music, and endless conversations!

Personal care is a fundamental part of early childhood development. I implement Respectful Infant Educare (RIE) practices when feeding, diapering, and comforting infants. These practices ensure the child feels secure, nurtured, and like they are an important, active member in our child/care giver relationship. I am respectful of the choices that families make in regards to personal care. I am cloth diaper friendly and am open to visits for breast feeding moms during the day. Bottle feeding moms and dads, too!
