About

I didn't realize my true calling and passion in life until I had children. I was so frustrated with the unreasonable and limited child care options for my two girls that I decided to change career paths and do what I feel is the most rewarding and needed, caring for young children. It is of the up most importance to provide an innovative, comforting, and enlightening environment for all children and teach them as well as providing their every need. The first stages in life lay the foundation for the rest of their lives, and very little importance is put on toddlers and preschoolers that it saddens me to no end. They should be nurtured in every way, aloud to express themselves safely, and be encouraged to be curious and thrive. Too many daycare's just try to stifle their enthusiasm, I would like to feed their young minds. Having a two and four year old presently, I feel that I have first hand experience and am currently taking classes in Early Childhood Education, and taking steps to be certified although the state does not require that I be, I will care for no more then 5 children (including my own) at once from the ages of two to six. I believe whole heartedly in the importance of whole and nutritional foods, the menu for the children will be diverse for the more particular eaters, but there will be very little to no processed foods. The same applies for drinks and snacks, no pop, juice drinks, or junk food snacks. I am extremely an outdoors type and love planting, and outdoor arts and crafts that will involve all sorts for projects for kids to learn about nature and their own creativity. Reading will also be something that is not missed for even one day. There will be a specific reading period of time (before naps perhaps) and I will let children pick from our already quite extensive library of books. Transportation can also be arranged depending on the times needed. I am very dedicated to home-like care, and will treat your children as my own, I feel it is so important to have patience, fairness, and respect for all things, and that this is one of the most important lessons in life. I am very excited to start this new journey in life in a career that is truly the most rewarding. I can't wait to meet you child and watch yet another blossom into Kindergartners!
