About the business
We're named for a member of the Long snout canine clan, but short snouts are welcome, too!
In December of 2013, we randomly, yet driven by synchronicity, had the opportunity to foster a purebred Black & Tan Coon hound found as a stray on the streets of southeast Detroit. He was taken under the wing of American Black & Tan Coon hound Rescue, his stay with us was coordinated via SE Michigan's rescue network, and he was named Sir Winston Longsnout. Despite being dumped, ridden with worms, and ridiculously skinny, the 7-9 month old male was the most naturally joyful animal ever encountered and our week with him was a whirlwind of tail wags, dog smiles, romps in the snowy backyard, and cuddles.
We offer relationship-building tools via reward-based training in the form of: training walks, runs of all lengths, 1:1 training sessions, and small group training classes (starting soon in Ypsi and Ann Arbor).
We would love for all dogs to be as joyful as Sir Winston Longsnoutl! It will be an honor to partner with you and your canine(s) to help bring that joy to your relationship.
