Living Montessori Education Community

Living Montessori Education Community was founded by Afrose Amlani in 2006 with a vision of optimizing children's life skills by fostering healthy emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual development in their most formative years. She began her journey with children in Uganda, East Africa in her mother's Montessori school and the Kampala YMCA. With her love for children and her drive to nurture the development of the whole child she dedicated her life work to creating Living Montessori Early Education for Infants and toddlers and Living Montessori Academy for preschoolers and elementary students upto grade 5.
At Living Montessori we are committed to offering the highest quality Montessori education to every student. To maximize their potential we respond to their own learning style, cultivate an immense love of learning, promote the development of practical life skills, support their intrinsic value and nurture autonomy, responsibility and sound internally directed discipline.

At Living Montessori we care about what children eat, therefore, we are the first school to provide highly nutritious organic meals planned by our in-house Nutritionist.
During the school day students benefit from rich academics, practical life skills, foreign language, creative arts, yoga, music and movement. In the after school they can engage in arts and craft, martial arts, swimming, creative arts, lego engineering, mandarine, dance, sign language, our amazing outdoor space, and more.
To create an optimal learning environment we custom built our facility using green materials wherever possible. We made use of abundant natural light and plants to connect the indoors to the outdoors and built a separate yoga studio, music room and an indoor gym. Outdoors the children get to play and learn in our large, nature inspired playground with slides imbedded into natural mounds, natural climbing structures and organic gardens full of fruits, herbs and vegetables which foster connection to the earth, respect, curiosity and a love of learning.
